Denmark Visa Requirements 

1. Completed Visa Application Form

The first step in applying for a Denmark visa is to complete the Schengen visa application form. You can download the form from the Danish embassy’s website or complete it online if available. Make sure to fill out the form accurately and double-check all the details before submitting it.

2. Valid Passport

Your passport must meet the following criteria:

• It should be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date from Denmark.
• Your passport must have at least two blank pages for the visa stamp.
• The passport should have been issued within the last 10 years.

3. Visa Fee

The Schengen visa fee for Denmark is typically €80 for adults and €40 for children aged 6 to 12 years. This fee is non-refundable, even if your visa application is rejected.

4. Recent Passport-sized Photographs

You will need to provide two recent passport-sized photographs that meet the Schengen photo requirements. The photos should be:

• 35mm x 45mm in size.
• Taken against a white background.
• Clear and of high quality with a neutral expression.

5. Flight Itinerary

As part of your visa application, you’ll need to provide proof of your travel arrangements. This can be a flight reservation that shows your planned entry and exit from Denmark. Be sure to book a round-trip ticket or provide a flight itinerary that matches your travel dates.

6. Proof of Accommodation

To demonstrate where you’ll be staying during your time in Denmark, you must provide:

• Hotel reservations or proof of your accommodation arrangements for your entire stay.
• If staying with a friend or family member, an invitation letter from your host is required, along with a copy of their ID or passport.

7. Travel Insurance

Denmark requires travelers to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, including hospitalization and repatriation. The insurance should be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Denmark and the Schengen Area, with a minimum coverage of €30,000.

8. Proof of Financial Means

You must provide evidence that you can support yourself financially during your stay in Denmark. This could include:

• Bank statements from the last 3 to 6 months.
• Payslips or other proof of income.
• If someone else is sponsoring your trip, they must provide a sponsorship letter and their financial documents.

9. Cover Letter (Optional)

While not always required, a cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip can strengthen your application. In this letter, outline your travel plans, accommodation details, and activities during your stay.
