Croatia Visa Requirements

1. Completed Visa Application Form

The first step to obtaining a visa for Croatia is completing the Schengen visa application form. You can obtain the form from the Croatian embassy or consulate in your home country, or in some cases, you may apply online. Fill out the form accurately, and make sure all information is correct to avoid delays.

2. Valid Passport

Your passport must meet the following conditions:

• It must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from Croatia.
• Your passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.
• It should be issued within the last 10 years.

3. Visa Fee

The standard Schengen visa fee for Croatia is €80 for adults and €40 for children between the ages of 6 and 12. This fee is non-refundable, even if your visa application is denied.

4. Passport-sized Photographs

You will need to provide two recent passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm). Ensure that these photographs meet the Schengen visa requirements, with a white background and a neutral expression.

5. Flight Itinerary

A flight reservation showing your entry and exit from Croatia is required. This can be a round-trip flight ticket or a flight itinerary indicating your travel dates and plans.

6. Proof of Accommodation

You must provide proof of where you’ll be staying during your time in Croatia. Acceptable forms of accommodation proof include:

• Hotel bookings for the duration of your stay.
• If staying with a friend or relative, you will need an invitation letter from your host, along with a copy of their passport or ID.

7. Travel Insurance

Croatia requires that all visitors have travel insurance covering medical expenses for the duration of their stay. The insurance should have a minimum coverage of €30,000 and should be valid for all Schengen Area countries, including Croatia.

8. Proof of Financial Means

To show that you can support yourself during your stay, you will need to provide:

• Bank statements from the last 3-6 months.
• Payslips or proof of income.
• If someone else is sponsoring your trip, they will need to provide a sponsorship letter along with their financial documents.

9. Cover Letter (Optional)

Although not mandatory, a cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip to Croatia can be helpful. The letter should outline your travel plans, accommodation details, and the activities you’ll be doing during your stay.
