ROMANIA VISA

Nestled in the heart of Eastern Europe, Romania is a captivating country brimming with natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. From its medieval castles and fortified churches to its stunning landscapes and charming villages, Romania offers an eclectic mix of experiences for travelers. Whether you’re drawn to the mystery of Dracula’s Castle, the charm of Bucharest, or the untouched beauty of the Carpathian Mountains, Romania promises a unique adventure.

Types of Visit Visas for Romania

  1. Short-Stay Schengen Visa (Type C Visa): Citizens of countries that have a visa agreement with the Schengen Area may need to apply for a Schengen visa for short stays in Romania. This visa allows travel to Romania and other Schengen countries for up to 90 days.
  2. Romanian National Visa (Type D Visa): For visitors who wish to stay in Romania for longer than 90 days (for reasons such as work, study, or family reunification), a national visa or residence permit specific to Romania is required.
  3. Tourist Visa (Short Stay): For tourism purposes, the Romanian short-stay visa (Type C) is the most commonly requested visa. This visa allows you to visit Romania for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

Determine Which Visa You Need: If you are traveling for tourism, a short-stay visa (Type C) is sufficient for stays of up to 90 days. If you are planning to stay for work, study, or family reunification, you will need to apply for a national visa (Type D).

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from Romania and must contain at least two blank pages for the visa sticker.

Passport-Sized Photographs: Two recent passport-sized color photographs that meet the Romanian visa photo specifications.

Travel Itinerary: Proof of travel arrangements, including flight bookings and accommodation reservations for the duration of your stay in Romania

Travel Insurance: Proof of medical travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, hospitalization, and repatriation with a minimum coverage of €30,000 in Romania and the EU.

Proof of Financial Means: Evidence that you can financially support yourself during your stay in Romania. This may include recent bank statements, pay slips, or an invitation letter from a host in Romania.

Additional Documents: Depending on the purpose of your visit, additional documents may be required. For example, if visiting family or friends, you may need an invitation letter from the host, or if attending business meetings, a letter from your company.

NOTE:

Multiple-Entry Visa: If you plan to visit Romania more than once during your stay or visit multiple Schengen countries, consider applying for a multiple-entry visa. This allows you to enter and exit Romania multiple times during the visa’s validity.
