AUSTRALIAN VISA REQUIREMENTS

Valid Passport

• Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you plan to leave Australia. It should have at least one blank page for the visa.

• Completed Visa Application Form

  • You need to complete the visa application form online through the ImmiAccount on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website. You may need to create an account if you don’t have one already.

  • Proof of Financial Capacity

    • You must show you can support yourself financially while in Australia. Acceptable documents include:
      • Bank statements for the last 3 to 6 months.
      • Payslips or other proof of income.
      • Tax returns or any official documents showing your financial status.
      • If you’re being sponsored by someone, they must provide a sponsorship form along with their financial evidence.

    • Photographs

      • A recent passport-sized photograph that meets Australian visa requirements (usually 45mm x 35mm, full face, neutral expression).

  • Proof of Ties to Your Home Country

    • You may need to show evidence that you will return to your home country after your visit to Australia, such as:
      • A letter from your employer confirming your leave.
      • Proof of property ownership.
      • Family commitments or other ties to your home country.

    • Travel History

      • Provide a travel history if available. This may include previous visas or stamps in your passport from past travel, especially to countries like the United States, Canada, the UK, or other EU countries.

    • Accommodation Details

      • Evidence of where you’ll be staying while in Australia, such as hotel bookings, invitation letters from friends/family, or a rental agreement.

    • Additional Documents (if applicable)

      • Depending on your situation, the Australian authorities may request additional documentation, such as:
        • Evidence of your relationship with family members in Australia.
        • A letter explaining the purpose of your visit if it’s unusual (e.g., medical treatment, specific business activity).
        • Evidence of your intention to return home, such as an employment contract, enrollment in studies, or return flight bookings.
